Erin Carlson – Partner

Erin’s career path took a different turn than originally planned, on her path to Law School, she encountered a stronger force that pulled her towards the world of Recruiting.  Her solid business acumen and ability to connect with others has allowed Erin to develop deeply rooted trusted relationships with both clients and candidates.  Erin is a seasoned recruiting professional that has thorough knowledge of the industry, she handles both client and candidate activities with a genuine approach demonstrating persistence in delivering positive results to those that engage her services.

Before founding VisTal Partners, Erin was the Director of Recruiting and Staffing for a  Management Solutions Consulting Company (one of Minnesota’s Fast 50 companies) where she built and implemented full life cycle recruitment strategy and initial HR policies and procedures. Her work includes executive level recruiting of senior technology professionals. Erin also built and led a Talent Acquisition team for a large Fortune 200 financial services company and previously spent 10 years doing sales and recruiting in an agency environment. She is an active board member for Minnesota Recruiters. Erin has a proven track record in working with candidates and clients in both direct and contract placement. She actively connects with you to thoroughly understand your goals and employment needs and skillfully handles sensitive and confidential matters.

Being petite, full of energy and a rapid conversationalist has garnered her many nicknames from her friends!  She has a true zest for life embracing new adventures, especially ones involving sun, water and travel.

 

Tom Nordell – Partner

With over 18 years of experience in the field of sales, Tom has an uncanny ability to find the right opportunity for the right person – whether in Talent Acquisition or Real Estate – Tom’s gregarious nature always shines through.  He has an unparalleled track record of excellent service for his clients, both hiring managers and job seekers.

Prior to starting VisTal, Tom built and led a Talent Acquisition Team for a Fortune 100 company.  He possesses a deep understanding of full life-cycle recruiting from an agency perspective.  Tom works with candidates and clients who are seeking full spectrum hiring services from direct hire to contract. His strong business acumen and ‘real-life’ sales experience provide him with an acute understanding of how to align a candidate’s talent to the unique needs of an organization.  His passion for service is clear when you work with him.  He is known for his level headed approach, ability to build trust and effective coaching to those seeking his advice.

In his spare time, Tom enjoys a variety of outdoor activities from fishing and hunting to spending time with the horses on his hobby farm.  He is also an avid traveler to warm places, basking in the sun and the sea.
Matt Carlson – Business Manager

Matt Carlson has 10 years in the Insurance Industry after which he acted on his entrepreneurial goals of running his own business. He has created and led a successful Media Business for the last 6 years providing exceptional customer services, inventory control, purchasing and managing financials. Matt’s strong analytical skills make him an integral part of VisTal’s business.  In his spare time you will likely find Matt on the golf course, coaching baseball & basketball or enjoying time on the lake.
